We mobilize the church to take the message of a loving God to a world that needs Him.

The mission of Salt & Light is to partner with local churches around the world to help them mobilize their trained leaders to transform their community. Our desire is to encourage and equip leaders to be salt and light in their communities.

Global Outreach Ministries works together with EQUIP Leadership to take the Salt & Light Initiative to Latin America. EQUIP has gone from a training organization, that just trains leaders to know what to do, to a transformational organization where they live out those changes. This creates a dynamic that allows other people to have their life incredibly, beautifully changed. As followers of Christ, we understand that genuine transformation can only occur when people have a relationship with God and ask Him to come into their lives and transform them from the inside out.

How do we help to make that happen? By training leaders to facilitate roundtables with people who desire to improve their lives.

The Salt & Light Process

1. A church embraces the vision of Salt & Light and invites their people to be trained as roundtable facilitators.

2. The trained facilitator invites a small group of people (friends, relatives, coworkers) to meet together once-a-week for 10 weeks to study John Maxwell’s Essentials for Success.

3. During each roundtable session, the group watches a short video and discusses the accompanying printed material.

4. For the last session, the roundtable participants watch the final, bonus video in which John Maxwell shares his faith and concludes with the invitation to pray a prayer of salvation.

A Life Changed through Salt & Light...

Maria Antonia Ruiz (Tony), a single mother and USANA vitamin distributor, lives in Monterrey, Mexico. She was invited by a co-worker to join a small group of people who were going to study John C. Maxwell’s Essentials for Success through a Salt & Light roundtable. After every session, Tony would go home and apply the principles she was learning. She started to notice how not only her own attitude began to change, but her relationship with her son, her co-workers and her ex-husband also began to change. However, the greatest change of all occurred on her group’s last day together.

Tony is so thrilled by how her life has changed that she can’t keep it to herself. She is now facilitating her own Salt & Light roundtable and hopes to take the roundtables to the women’s prison in the near future.
